For everyone out there with a 'fur kid'-this post's for you!
I've been kicking this one around and holding it close to my chest for a long time. As an armchair anthropologist, I can't help but notice how attached people are to their pets. I mean people LOVE their pets. They buy them outfits, get their pictures taken with Santa, send them to day spas and even throw them weddings. All of the things you do for your children, right?

In this day and age there are a variety of ways to start a family-the old fashioned way, in-vitro fertilization with your own and/or donor supplies, surrogacy, adoption and pet ownership just to name a few. Many, many members of mainstream society talk openly about having 'fur kids' and no one gives them a second look.
Up until now, people with the desire to start or expand their fur family had only one choice: adoption. What if we could give these families another choice? World, I would like to introduce HumanDogBabies.
The concept is so simple it's almost foolish. Allow mothers to actually give birth to their fur kids. By C-section or the other way. It's really a personal choice. Let me sketch out the basics of this bad boy for you:
- As with any family planning, it's always a good idea to visit your OB-GYN for a pre-conception checkup. The nuances of birthing a fur baby will, of course, vary by species. This needs to be well thought out prior implanting anything in your uterus. Horse births, for example, should be reserved only for the bigger girls.
- Also be cognizant of your odds for multiples and plan accordingly. If you happen to be a rabbit lover, your chances of becoming the next octomom are much higher than say, someone who has their heart set on being the mom to a bouncing baby cow calf.
- The sky's the limit. Inter-species birth is not limited to mammals alone. If you are planning on giving birth to a reptile or amphibian, however, make sure that you notify your hospital of choice ahead of time so temperature and/or land/sea conditions can be adjusted accordingly.
Now if you clicked on the link, you already know that this is a work-in-progress. As I've said before, I'm not a scientist. I'm an idea machine. But let's all unite and share our talents to get this one out of the gate and scheduled for takeoff. I think THIS idea really has some legs.
